Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Retainer fees
I was given the retainer fee for my attorney as a gift and now I have no contact with said gift-giver and my attorney says by law if he/she asks for there money back he has to comply. Is this true?

Re: Retainer fees
Yes, it is true. But it is also true that an attorney may not withdraw from a criminal case solely because of money, where such withdrawal would harm your chances for a fair trial.
