Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Roomate growing marijuana
My roomate has a small garden of marijuana in the shed out back, I do not smoke marijuana or participate in growing it, I was wondering what the possible legal liability I have if the authorities ever found it? If he admits it what is the likelihood of me being charged with cultivation?
Thank you so much

Watch out! Conspiracy laws are tough, especially federal ones, and they don't require proof that you actually handled the controlled substance. If you ever opened the door for your roomie to get into the backyard when you knew he was cultivating his plantation, you could be held liable. (Any act "in furtherance" of the criminal activity, even if the act itself is not a criminal act, can give rise to criminal liability.) Federal sentencing laws are no joke, either.
