Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
sealing records
After a deferred sentence is dismissed in criminal court for shoplifting at an Army PX, can records be sealed? I was told no because of it being on a military/facility.

Re: sealing records
If your deferred was negotiated in a civilian court, I don't see why the record can't be sealed at any law enforcement agency within the district court's jurisdiction. The court, however, has no jurisdiction over any military records.
Call the district court clerk to verify this.
Good luck.
