Search Warrants

hi i just wanted to know how long does a search warrent is good for ,if they only have 24 hours to searve it. how long after so they have serve it to me?

Under Cal. law, search warrants are good for exactly 10 days from the date (and time) the judge signs the warrant. Under Cal. law, they do not have to serve you with a copy of the search warrant. Even if that were a requirement, there is no meaningful remedy (such as suppression of evidence seized under the warrant) for the law enforcement agency merely not leaving a copy in the place searched.

Remember that search warrants are directed to places, not people, even though the Fourth Amendment was designed to protect "people, not places." Oftentimes, the search warrant will, however, after describing the place to be searched, will also name the suspect(s) and have authority to search that person, or any vehicles, etc., belonging to him.
