Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
stalking
I have had stalking charges filed against me because I emailed an old girlfriend asking for her brothers phone #. Do I need a lawyer to go to court with me.

Re: stalking
well, if want to defend your actions, it would be a good idea. I assume that you had a restraining order or something in place that prevented the communication. Why was that in place? Do you have a record?

Re: stalking
If you violated a restraining order to get the phone number, yes, you probably do.

Even if no restraining order, any plea bargain can result in a loss of your job. I think you need help.
