Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
stolen dog
My brother-in-law stole my dog and sold him for beer money a year ago. I found out where my dog is and was wondering if there was a legal way to get him back because he is now in New Mexico and was stolen in Colorado? I paid $500.00 for him.

Re: stolen dog
One legal way to get your dog back is to contact the people who now have him, tell them what happened, tell them you miss him, and see whether they will let you arrange to pick him up. Unless the people who have him now are as in thrall of beer as your brother-in-law, they may well let you have him. If they paid for him, offer to reimburse them, then sue your beery relative in small claims court for the money and your trouble.
Good luck.
