Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
subpoena to testify
I was issued a supeona to be a witness in a DV case in April/May, the court date was set for july 21st, last week the judge in the case told the DA that they needed to resupeona all witnesses, the date has not changed, I have not received a new supeona and I really don't want to go to court as a witness.....the DA's office tells me I will be issued a warrent if I don't show, what can I do?

Re: subpoena to testify
Well, if you have been legally subpoenaed, then you must appear. If you have not been, then you do not need to. I would discuss the exact situation with a lawyer that represents you and not one of the litigants to find out your exact situation.
