Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Theft of donated material
If we found a place on our block that has computers donated to them but has not registered the computers with anybody, if we were to hypothetically take them, could we get into trouble?

yes - do not do this unless you want to risk a theft charge
BTW - you might offer to buy the computer for a low price
Re: Theft of donated material
Yes, people tend to call that theft. You may not only have trouble from the law, but if certain people are correct about the afterlife, you may burn in hell for a long, long time before your parole.
Re: Theft of donated material
Are the computers "the property of another"? Your question indicates that you know they are. Do they still belong to the donor or now to the donee? That's a question. However, they do not belong to a third party. That would be you.
