Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
I was a victim of domestic there was damage to my property but I was not threatened or harmed I still love this person I am with we do not have children together but we co parent the children we already had if I write an impact statement saying he is a good guy but has a substance abuse problem will that help in modifying the restraining order or help sentencing

The victim impact statement will not be reviewed until sentencing. It might help with the sentencing, but the best thing you can do is to talk with your boyfriend's lawyer to see what he or she thinks would be most helpful.
