What are the legal reprecussions if someone is caught checking someone else's email and/or voicemail?

Unless the computer or phone is in a restricted place where the other person has no right to be, there are no legal repercussions for checking e-mail or voicemail.
Put a password on the stuff you don't want anybody else to read or hear, and you won't have to worry about legal repercussions.
