Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Please, there is a warrant against my brother, who was living in CO and had local CO ID, when accident happened. He is living now in different state. If he get stop in traffic and he would present himself with his valid European driving licence, would they be able to find out the fact, that there is warrant on his name in CO? (car has different owner, but car insurance is on owners and brother name) My point is, warrant is issue on name, which has to match with state, in his case CO driving licence number, correct? So, basically cop has European driving l. in his hands and drivers insureance. What can he find out?? Thank you for your time

All they need is the name and birthdate.
The fact that he's now got an license from a different country is meaningless as to establishing ID.
Traffic warrants and misdemeanor warrants typically do not cross state lines; at least in the sense that you won't get arrested in Utah on a Colorado misdemeanor warrant. Interstate detention usually only happens with felony warrants. However, a warrant on a traffic case can result in the suspension of the privilege to drive in the issuing state, as well as all other states that belong to the Compact on Driver's Licenses (which is almost all of them).
