Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
My wife filed a report in October of 2009 in El Paso County Colorado for misdemeanor harrassment-shove/push/kick and misdemeanor interference with a telephone. We both moved the next day back to Oklahoma and I was never picked up or even spoke to the police. They never filed anything until January of 2011 when a warrant was filed. My question is are they allowed to wait 2 years with zero contact from either of us then just file a warrant out of nowhere all based solely on her word from the initial contact report?
