Will he go to prison?
As a recently convicted felon If a person is facing new charges like 2nd degree assault on a peace officer what could the possible penalties?

Unfortunately, 2nd degree assault is a crime of violence and if convicted, includes a mandatory prison sentence. However, a prior felony conviction could result in a longer prison sentence then a person with no record.
