Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Work
I have worked for 4 1/2 yrs at a profession, can a mistake I made 7 years ago effect the job I do now? What can I do to fight for my rights? I paid the price for my offense, but now they want to take away more schooling. I've tried to leave that behind and move forward. Can I fight for MY rights?

Re: Work
Yes. A past plea to DV can trigger Lautenberg and now cost you your job. A number of other pleas (whether violent or non-violent) can prevent state licensing, and therefore result in a lost job. You CAN fight for your rights. Some may be lost due to the past offenses. Of those that remain, you should be vigilant to protect them.
