You need to take your daughter to see an attorney. At a minimum, she committed false reporting to authorites. As a larger matter, she needs to make this right, but I suggest using an attorney to do it so that you lessen the chances she gets charged, and if she does get charged, the attorney can help minimize the damage.

I agree with my friend Damon. The problem to your child is false reporting, but that is nothing compared to the friend (felony car theft). At the very least, your daughter needs to be prepared to assert her right not to incriminate herself at trial. You both need to understand this fully and a criminal defense attorney is the best place to start.
