Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

Any chance to keep my license?

I was arrested saturday night for my 3rd DUI. My BAC was .18

My first DUI was in 1995 in Oklahoma. I was a Juvenile.

My second was a DWAI in Colorado and it was in 1998

I have a 3 year old boy that I must get to daycare. I have no family in the state. His daycare is way across town. I then need to go to work. I also need to be able to get to the grocery store. My husband works from 3pm to 11pm. He is sleeping when I get up in the morning and is at work when I need to pick our son up.

I wonder if there will be any way to keep my license for driving to and from work, daycare and grocery store.

Also, might the penalty for me be a bit less severe since my prior DUI's were a while back?

Re: Any chance to keep my license?

there is always a chance. If I were you, I would adjust my day care to one nearby and find alternatives to you driving. Depending on the facts, we can do a lot.

As it stands, you are looking at losing your license for a year plus getting interlock for at least a year following that.

Depending on the county and the facts of the case, you may spend time in jail.

contact me with the facts about the case and I can try to give more information.
