Community service:
I have a hearing because I did not complete my community service in time involving a first time DWAI case. The letter I recieved states that jail may be recomended if probation is revoked. I've never been in trouble before. What is the probability of jail? And if jail is assigned, do I go directly to jail?

often the court will not revoke if you complete the community service prior to the hearing on revocation, so get it done. As for possibility of jail, many courts will give a day of jail for each hour not completed or some fashion of that. Many DA's will allow some more time to complete community service.
Re: Community service:
It depends on how much community service you have done and why you didn't do the rest. Try to get as much done as you can before your hearing, and see whether you can get a continuance for the hearing -- before the hearing (call the court clerk) -- and then do more community service before the next one.
If you do nothing, have no good excuse, and show for the revocation hearing, chances are swell you'll go to jail, directly to jail.

By the way, technically you have been in trouble before: that's why you're on probation. You're not a rookie anymore.
