Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

Deadline for Dui charges to be filed

I was in an auto accident and in a coma for a few days in the hospital. Its been 6 weeks and I have not been notified of anything concerning a possible DUI or other charges. I do know my BAC was well above the limit. How long does the state have to notify me of any forthcoming charges and would the current restrictions for the release of medical information (i.e. B.A.C.), without my conscent, have any bearing on my case?
