While I was driving home a neighbor called the police and told them that I was driving recklessly. I arrived home and drank some alcohol, then the police arrived at my door. They said I was driving drunk and lucky to only be getting a reckless driving ticket instead of a DUI. Can I be convicted for reckless driving based only on a neighbors report? Can this be reduced to careless driving or some other lesser charge? Did the police have the right to bring me out of my home and give me a BA?
