Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

DUI in Company Car

I was arrested for DUI (.13) driving home in my company car.

First offense, clean record.

Am I obligated by law to inform my employer of this?

Does the DMV have to notify the insurance carrier/lease company of the car somehow?

I use this vehicle in my job every day...

Thanks for any help.

Re: DUI in Company Car

unless your employment contract or company car agreement says different, there is no requirement to inform. DMV will have a record of your arrest and if it happens, your conviction, but should not actively report to any insurance company.

If you win the DMV hearing and get the DUI reduced your problems will go away too. Contact me or go to my website to learn more.
