Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

Can your employer be informed by the local police or D.A. of possible license be

There is a person who is threating to go to the local police and D.A. to inform them that an ex-boyfriend might drive anyway at his job if he loses his license. She is saying that they will inform the employer of the license being revoked. Can this happen? He hasn't even gone to court yet and No revoking of the license has happened and hasn't been found guilty of anything,at this time. Can anything be reported to the employer by the D.A. or local police according to any information given by a vengeful ex-girlfriend?Besides the information isn't even true. Thanks for taking the time to tell me the legal standings on this.

People can say anything they want. But, if it is a lie, then that person may be liable for any damages the lie caused. This is called defamation of character or reputation. If it is in writting, then it is called libel. If it is verbal, then it is slander. Remember that a person must have money in order to sue them for money, but it is possible. Otherwise, I agree with the other attorney.

The Department of Motor Vehicles revokes licenses, not the Court or the DA. It is separate from the court case. If he is revoked, it will be a matter of public record.
