Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

Failure to comply with alcohol treatment

Need to move to San Angelo, Tx. to be with daughters. Is there a way to transfer the possible pending charges to different state. Need to be with daughters asap.

The charges must be litigated here, but if you gain extended probation it may be arranged to do that there.

Good luck, and don't ignore your need to resolve this, or it may be some time before you see your daughters in any state.

Re: Failure to comply with alcohol treatment

is this pre-plea or post conviction?

if post-conviction, then you can ask the judge and probation to transfer probation to Texas.

if this is prior to resolving the DUI case, you may be able to get an out of state plea offer where you are basically only required to pay fees - in some jurisdictions this can be done without your presence by an attorney - but, you must get permission to leave state from judge prior to leaving

It is a slow process. You either have to do an interstate transfer of probation or get the judge to take you off of formal probation. If you do not do it correctly, you could be facing jail time.
