Falsification of Papers
I was arrested for DUI in Steamboat Springs while sitting behind my vehicle off of a paved road. Upon my release the Affadavit of Revocation original showed no reason for contacting me. Police officer wrote reason for contact then showed nothing. When I received the copies from the DMV it showed the reason for contact as Careless driving. Can a police officer fill that in after giving me a copy at a later date?

It sounds like a good issue at DMV hearing. And for that matter, at trial. Request a hearing, but do not request that the officer be present, let your attorney make that decision. You or your attorney needs to get the police reports to make the decision. If you have a witness, that is great. There are a few other tricks of the trade that I would be happy to use to your advantage, but you need to call me ASAP - before you request a hearing. Hearings must be requested within 7 days, so get on it.

It is an issue you could raise at your hearing.
