Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

FTA, Failure to complete DUI

I moved out of state and did not complete my comm svc and alc education. What is the likely penalty I will face? I did complete work release and paid my fines.

Re: FTA, Failure to complete DUI

If you're not still in communication with your probation officer, then they probably issued a bench warrant for your arrest. Since you only have technical violations (aka you didn't commit another crime) the punishment probably won't be too harsh.

My advise would be to finish the community service and the alc education on your own. Also hire a lawyer that can set up a walk in date for you. You'll be able to come in and go in front of a judge without being arrested beforehand. But you usually can't negotiate that without a lawyer.

Good luck.
