Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

license

I was arrested for a dwai, and they suspended my license. The interesting part is that I have never had a license. I was pulled over after the license was revoked and had to post bond for 10,000. Can they do this when I technically never had a license to begin with?

Re: license

If DMV issued a revocation of your license, and then you drove again, then your license would be suspended for an additional year.

This would happen even if you did not have a license.

You are potentially facing a mandatory minimum 30 days jail on the new charges, so you should think about getting a lawyer.

Re: license

That's the bond under statute for driving under restraint. I'm guessing this wasn't your first arrest. You don't need to have a license to be DUR.
