Owing a firearm while on probation for a DWAI?

Can I purchase a shotgun while on probation for a DWAI. I am currently on unsupervised probation and am just sitting out the remainder but would like to know if I can purchase a shotgun for pheasant hunting. I read that I would only be restricted for a felony but mine was a misdeamnor. any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Your conditions of probation and statutory restrictions are two different things. You would do best to call your probation department and ask them.
