Re: did prosecution waive my rights?
No.
Prosecutor cannot waive your rights, only you can.
Pre-Trials are times when plea offers can be made, but you have no right to a plea offer. The DA typically will not offer a plea until he/she has the test results.
You have the right to allow the continuance to hopefully make a deal or to enter a not guilty plea and request a jury trial. The trial would not be set for weeks or months, but your speedy trial rights would begin.
The best way to protect your many rights is to have an attorney. There is no way you can learn all you need to know by posting questions.
