Children responsible for parents?
A friend and I have two differing opinions regarding whether children must (by law) care for parents who are unable to care for themselves any longer. I say it is the law, my friend says that adult children are not required by law to care for their aging parents if they do not want to do so. Who is right? What about debts incurred by parents? Do they fall to the adult children?

Re: Children responsible for parents?
Your friend is correct. Colorado does not have a filial responsibility law. Children are not generally responsible for their parents' care or financial obligations.
