My dad has parkinson's disease, my mom is taking care of him at home. She constantly forgets to give him medicine and feedings through his tube. He was just admitted to the hospital for pneumonia and I have found out that she doesnt know what meds he is supposed to take and is only feeding him once or twice a day. I need to know if there is something I can do to take over decision making so that someone can come to their house and help her.

You can petition the court to become your father's guardian. You can learn about the process by reading through the instructions and see the forms at http://www.courts.state.co.us/Forms/Forms_List.cfm?Form_Type_ID=57. If you would like to speak with an attorney about this more, I and many other attorneys in this area offer free initial consultations. My number is 303-586-1961. Hope this helps.
