Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado
Annulment?
I have been married for less than six months and have learned that my new husband has a felony record. We are not getting along and I want out of the marriage. Can I get an annulment?

Re: Annulment?
In order to get a marriage annulled, you must be able to prove something such as the parties weren't of legal age, the marriage is prohibited by law, one of the parties entered into the marriage based upon a fraudulent act of the other, etc. However, you can get a divorce without having to prove anything because Colorado is a no-fault divorce state.
If you wish to petition for an annulment, you should do it soon, as there are timelines you must meet in order to bring your case.
Hope this helps!
