Back child support garnishment

I pay 500. In support, and i recieved a garnishment letter for employer to take out 1182. For some back support. Is ther a motion i can file to stop this or modify the garnishment without modifiny my support?

Your first and best solution is to file the objection form that should have been attached to your copy of the garnishment paperwork. That provides you with an opportunity to explain why it is too much of your income to be taken each pay period. That will initiate the proceedings to address only the amount of arrearage being taken from your check each month.
