Re: Child abandonment
I'm not sure that I understand your question. However, without knowing more about your relationship with this man I am not even sure if the two of you are common law married. In the event you are, Colorado is a no fault divorce state which means that you don't need grounds in order to get divorced. All you have to allege is "irretrievable breakdown of the marriage". If your ex took your child out of the state without your consent then he could be guilty of kidnapping. Again, I would need to know more about your situation before I am comfortable advising you. I would be more than happy to meet with you in order to discuss your situation further.
The attorneys at The Harris Law Firm, P.C. focus their practices in the area of Family Law, which includes divorce, declaration of invalidity, paternity, adoption, child custody issues, and post decree issues such as modification of parenting time, modification of child support, relocation, grandparent rights, etc. I am an attorney with the firm and happen to be accepting new clients at this time. The firm offers a flat fee, 45 minute consultation for $150. In order for me to quote you a retainer I would first have to meet with you and discuss the complexities of your case, as this will dictate the retainer fee required from you. However, I can tell you that retainers typically range from $1500 - $2500, and we do accept payments by way of credit card. I would be more than happy to meet with you at your convenience to discuss your situation. Feel free to contact me in order to schedule a consultation.
