Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado
Child Custody Agreement
My husband and I divorced 3 years ago, we have one child who is now 14 years old. A year and half ago he moved to Colorado and at that time we signed an agreement with my attorney that our daughter would visit him at Christmas and for 6 weeks in the summer. Otherwise, she is in my custody. Our daughter doesn't want to spent 6 weeks with him this year because of other fun things for her to do. Can he cause trouble for me if I break the agreement?

Re: Child Custody Agreement
Very much so: contempt, attorneys fees, jail. You can motion the court to modify parenting time. The court will likely appoint a special advocate who will talk to your daughter and relay her wishes to the court.
