Until there are court orders entered, each of you has equal rights to the baby. I suggest you file for Allocation of Parental Responsibilities right away. Otherwise, she could take the baby and move to another state and there would be nothing you could do about it. Getting orders sooner is much easier. If you can both agree on how to divide parenting time and who should make decisions about the baby's health, education, etc., it can be very simple and inexpensive.
