child support from abroad

removed from the states in 99. i am now in morocco and live on meager salary of 200$a month if work is available . i have 2 kids in the states and wonder what to do about child support..

i was also illegal there for most the years i had the kids and in the end was removed...is there a way to get a relief from back pay ....please guide me as to how to contact child support in colorado and get my situation straightened out... may god bless you.

You may be able to ask the Court to grant you relief on your past due amount on account that you do not have the ability to pay, and request a modification of future child support.

Additionally, if you have not had contact with your children or paid any support for the last year, it is possible that the other party may have asked the Court to terminate your parental rights.

You can request a modification of child support through that website, and they may work with you as far as working out an agreement as to the amount owed. However, before entering into any binding agreements, I would urge you to have an attorney review your situation with you and advise you of your rights.
