Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

Child Support Arrears

The non-custodial parent owes over $50,000.00 in arrears. He is currently paying a meager $68.75 a week. The child support is 200.00 per month.

This amounts to only $75.00 towards arrears per month. Is there anything I can do to assure the total amount is paid? Child support will end in the next year.

Re: Child Support Arrears

There are a number of steps which might be available to you in terms of enforceing this support obligation, including: filing a motion for contempt of court agasint the non-custodial parent, garnishing his wages, placing liens on his property, having his driver's license suspended, etc...

Which of these options best suits your needs will depend on the specific facts of your case.
