Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

divorce, bankruptcy question

I need to file for bankruptcy but am also looking to file for divorce. Can filing for divorce also accomplish the bankruptcy issues? Or are these two issues considered separate law suits?

These two issues are definitely separate lawsuits, though they will have an impact on each other. The state level District Courts have jurisdiction over divorce matters, while the Bankruptcy matters can only be heard in the Federal Bankruptcy courts.
