Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

In a divorce hearing, how much time do I need to give my ex to appear in court if she lives in a different state? I live in Colorado and she lives in Texas now.

An out of state party has 35 days after being served to respond to the petition for dissolution. The first court appearance is the initial status conference, which is supposed to happen within 45 days of filing. However, the court likely would let her appear by phone at any or all hearings if she lives in Texas, especially if no children are involved. If you think the case will be uncontested (that is, you will be able to reach agreements without a court deciding for you), I do cases like this for people all over Colorado (distance is not an issue) for a reasonable flat fee, if you would like to discuss further. Hope this helps.
