Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

if i filed taxes with my boyfriend as married 2 years in a row, but for the past years filed as head of household and not married. does that make me legally married in the state of colorado?

Not by itself. In Colorado, to be common law married, you have to live together as husband and wife and hold yourself out to the community as husband and wife (i.e., tell people you are married). Tax returns, insurance benefits, etc. are evidence of common law marriage but not more. I hope this helps.
