Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

My 'husband' & I were married in 1984 in CA. However, in 1994 we (not legally) seperated, with me taking our daughter and raising her almost entirely without his help. We have no common property or assets for the last 16 years, and live in different states, with very minimal communication. Our daughter is no longer a minor (she's 20). How do I legally divorce him, and can I do it myself, as we're in different states and neither of us has much income and no property? I currently live in CO.
