My husband and i married for 23yrs he bought the house five months before we got married and paid it off during our marriage.during that time i was a stay home mom .is this house considered marital property

No - and yes. The house itself is separate property since it was purchased before the marriage. However, the increase in the value of your husband's interest during the marriage is marital property. As a result, it is likely that most of the equity in the house is marital property and is subject to division by the court if you divorce.
