Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

Is it a legal document?

I was divorced in colorado and the divorce decree does not specify who is to claim our child on taxes. However the judge mentioned that the father was to claim the child. The child resides with me permantly all year. Is the divorce decree or the court transcript legally binding and who has the right to claim the child.

There is nothing in the decree to be binding one way or the other. Sounds like the transcript may be determinative, should the father choose to seek an order. In the meantime, there is nothing to be binding either way. Should both of you claim the child, without an order, your dispute will be with the IRS.
