Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado
I have been married for 34 years. I am wanting to leave him. I really don't care about the property as long as he will never be able to sale it so it can be left for our 3 grown daughters. If I leave, is it considered abandonment? Would I be able to get any of my belongings after I make the move?

If you file for divorce, the court will address the division and disposition of all property that either of you acquired during the marriage regardless of where it is located. Moving will not forfeit your right to anything.
