Paternity

Our 16 year old daughter recently became pregnant by a 21 year old. How do we get this individual to help with costs for prenatal care, hospital costs, and child support once the baby is born?

Re: Paternity

If the father is not willing to acknowledge paternity, it is possible to sue. If paternity is established, for example with DNA testing, the court can order payment of the costs you are seeking, and child support.
