Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

Quadro

I am trying to find out how to file a Quadro, if that is the proper name for it. I am trying to make sure that I get 1/2 of my ex-husband's retirement plan that I am entitled to. According to Colorado Law, I believe you have to wait until after the divorce is final, which it has been since June 30, 2000. My attorney is dragging his feet on this and I do not want to delay since he is getting married this weekend.

How many hours would it take to put this into action if I were to do it on my own? Any help and information you can forward to me regarding this issue is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Quadro

QDROs are one of the more complicated areas of divorce law. I would strongly advise against trying to do it yourself. There are attorneys who specialize in doing these. You might hire one directly, or ask your current lawyer to use a specialist.
