Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

My question is Once my alimony payments are completed does the child support order automatically recalculate or is that up to me and my ex to renegotiate?

Background: Support order states spousal support for 12 months and child support according to (statute). I know the spousal support is part of the child support calculation but I do not know if it gets recalculated manually or automatically after the 12 months. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Child support and alimony are calculated separately. You should negotiate with your ex if the child support payments are inaccurate. Any change should be approved by the Court. (Do not think that just because you and your ex agree that it will be OK. It could get both of you in trouble).
