Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado
Sibling Visitation Rights
My half sister lives with my father, and he has made it hard for me to see her, not letting her come with me weekends or anything like that. Is there some sort of Right or Law that I could bring to his attention where he MUST let me take her so many days or something simply because she is my sister?

Re: Sibling Visitation Rights
Unfortunately, the short answer to your question is no. There is no law stating that siblings have an absolute right to spend time together. You might be able to ask the Court for time, depending on the circumstances. However, there is certainly no guarentee. As a practical matter, keep in touch with her and keep your relationship alive. Once she's out from under his roof, I'm sure she'll choose to spend more time with you.
