Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado
Statute of Limitations on Child Support
The man I believe to be my father is very apprehensive about me because he thinks I am coming after his money, when in fact, I have no interest in his money and just have a natural curiosity about who he is. Anyway, I am 38 years old and not disabled - is there any basis for his fears? Do I have any claim on his money if there was never support ordered in the first place? The divorce was in the state of Colorado.

Re: Statute of Limitations on Child Support
Assuming he has a will stating his assets are to go to people, he has nothing to worry about. I would recommend telling him that or directing him to a family law attorney for confirmation.
As a father, I do not understand not knowing my children, so there may be more to it than what you see.

He has no liability under Illinois law.
