Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

wrong address

Both parents were sent a letter stating that my sons father had 60 days to complete a class or he will be in contempt. The letter didnt deliver to him cause the courts dont have the correct address. My question is what can I do about it because he would be in contempt but never got the letter?

Re: wrong address

You can still raise it with the Court. It is each party's job to make sure that the Court has their correct address. Chances are excellent that the Court will give him another period of time in which to comply with the requirement to take the class, but it is still worth raising. The Court will also admonish him for failing to keep them notified of his current address. If this sort of thing has been a problem in your case, the Court can hold him in contempt anyway and assess whatever sanctions it feels are appropriate.
