Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Colorado

damage to personal vehicle while doing company business.

If a personal vehicle is damaged while performing company business for an employer while on the clock, is the employer responsible for damages? Damages were caused by company equipment and personal insurance will not cover because only liability insurance was purchased.

Re: damage to personal vehicle while doing company business.

If the company was responsible for its equipment causing damage to your car, it doesn't matter whether you were on the clock or not. The employer's insurance should cover the damage.

Good luck.
